Providence understands that the most faithful biblical strategy for evangelism ultimately resides in the church. The Great Commission is a mandate given to the church to go into all the world, making disciples by baptizing and teaching. We are committed to fulfilling this commission both locally and globally.
Providence operates WOPC-LP 102.1 FM, a local radio station in the Bradenton area. The station broadcasts biblical and Reformed teaching, including sermons, catechism instruction, and other Christian programming. This is one of the ways we seek to bring the gospel to our community and beyond.
As a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, we support and participate in the OPC’s domestic and international mission work. The OPC has missionaries serving in many parts of the world, and we are committed to supporting their work through prayer and giving.
We encourage every member of Providence to be an ambassador for Christ in their daily lives. This means sharing the gospel with family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. We believe that personal evangelism is the responsibility of every Christian, and we seek to equip our members to share their faith with confidence and grace.
